Staying Safe With Cybex

Being a mother is my favorite part about myself. I stumbled upon motherhood at a young age of 24 and I have never looked back! I absolutely love being Jackson’s mom. The one thing I have not liked about being a mother is the constant worrying if my baby boy is always going to be protected. Car accidents happen every day, so it’s important to make sure your child is properly buckled and in a safe carseat.

We are so thankful to have the Cybex Sirona M Sensorsafe 2.0 Convertible Car Seat. This is the holy grail of car seats, y’all! We are always on the go and this seat takes away the worry of his safety. It is super easy to install, not too heavy, and even has safety technology in the chest piece that sends your phone alerts. The Cyber Sirona M comes with a vehicle receiver that is quick to insert and once inserted, your phone will start receiving alerts for things like the chest clip being removed, if the back seat is too warm or too cold, and if a child has been seated for too long. How amazing is that?! I know we have all seen the stories on the news of parents leaving a child in the car and I used to think “That would NEVER be me!” Now that I’m fully embraced into motherhood with a toddler tornado, I can now see how anything can happened and not one single person on this planet is perfect (yup even mothers!!)

We still rear-face Jackson in carseat even though he’s above the legal weight of 22 pounds. This highly reduces the risk of injury in a head-on collision. Since 59% of accidents are head-on collisions, CYBEX recommends transporting children in a rear-facing position for as long as possible, preferably up to 4 years old or 40 lbs. In a head-on collision, a rear-facing seat distributes the strong front-impact forces across the seat’s back, significantly reducing the strain on the child’s neck and head.

The energy absorbing shell helps reduce the impact forces felt by the child in a collision and is also extremely comfy for Jack. The CYBEX also comes with a L.S.P system (Individually adjustable Linear Side Impact Protection System.) The adjustable linear side-impact protection (L.S.P. System) absorbs the force of a side-impact collision at a very early stage. Whether rearward or forward-facing, the CYBEX Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 features an adjustable Linear Side-impact Protection system (L.S.P.), increasing the level of safety in case of a side-impact collision. The L.S.P. system can be individually adjusted on the door facing side of the car seat and can absorb up to 25% more impact forces in a side-impact collision in combination with the head and shoulder protectors. I love how CYBEX has thought every safety detail on this seat.

A few of my other favorite features on the CYBEX are the removable cup holder you can place on either side and put in the dishwasher as well as the magnetic belt holders. These seriously make it a billion times easier getting Jackson in the seat. He would always pull them underneath him no matter how hard I tried to move them out of the way. By far one of my favorite features!
