WHAT YOU NEED:

1 box of pistachio jello

1 20 oz can crushed pineapple

1 8oz cool whip

STEP 1: Pour jello packet into large bowl

STEP 2: Mix in crushed pineapples

STEP 3: Mix in cool whip

STEP 4: Sit in fridge over night

Enjoy cold! 🙂

This recipe has been made every holiday in my family since the ’70s! We usually just call it “green stuff” and it is so DELICIOUS!! Unfortunately, I refused to eat this until about 4 years ago because of the way it looked. I thought it was such a strange looking dessert and since I used to be quite of a picky eater, I wouldn’t even try a bite! Trust me this dessert sounds/looks weird but it is definitely worth trying. It is always a huge hit in our household and goes perfectly with the rest of your Thanksgiving dinner! 🙂

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy! 🙂

This past Sunday we decided to spend the day in Austin, Texas. I have been having some serious withdrawals since moving back to San Antonio and am absolutely obsessed with the South Congress area. There are so many cute little shops and such AMAZING food! We ate at Home Slice and both got the meat calzone, which was delicious. Hopdoddy is another popular spot, where the line to get served is usually wrapped around the building! However, I can assure you it is most definitely worth the wait. Their burgers are the best I’ve ever had and their parmesan truffle fries are astounding! Guero’s Taco Bar is another one of my favorite spots on South Congress and you should definitely try it out if you haven’t already.

The weather was perfect, so we decided to rent bikes from Austin B-Cycle, which is a bicycle rental system, and cruise around downtown. It costs $8 to have access to their many bikes, which are located at the many stations scattered across the greater downtown area. The first 30 minutes of each ride are free, while each additional 30 minute period costs $4. However, we found that there are enough stations so that you can conveniently swap bikes while traveling to your destination before the free 30 minute period has ended. This is a great way to avoid any additional fees.

The South Congress bridge crossing over Lady Bird Lake is such an amazing view! We rode all the way to the Capitol and took a little detour inside the gates. Everything inside the Capitol gates is so beautiful it really feels like your in a fairy tail. The building truly is a work of art and a wonderful site to see for all. There are paved paths that take you around the building to show you all of the outstanding monuments and beautiful scenery. Tyler and I both had never taken a full look outside and around the Capitol, so we were definitely glad we decided to stop by.

We also stopped at one of my favorite places, Blenders and Bowls. If you have not eaten here, you HAVE to try it! Everything they serve is healthy and SO amazing. I got, ‘The Sesher,’ which is my go to when I’m there, because of the touch of cashews. Days like this with Tyler I feel like I will remember forever. We spent the day truly just enjoying each others’ company and admiring this beautiful city. One of my favorite days ever! 🙂

The boot socks I am wearing are from Dottie Couture, but are sold old. I linked a site that has a TON of cute boot socks and cuffs! 🙂 Thanks for reading and stay tuned for tomorrow’s post on my favorite Thanksgiving dessert. 🙂

Crop tops were a huge trend this past summer, so why not add them into your fall outfits? Crop sweaters are perfect for the days that aren’t too chilly. This sweater and the one I linked are perfect to pair with anything high waisted if your not wanting to show any skin. I wore a cropped black tank top underneath, since the sweater is a little transparent. This leather skirt adds a bit of edge to any outfit and is really comfy. It’s from Dottie Couture and is less than $25! You can add a leather jacket and tights for those super chilly nights.

Here are a few of my favorite new arrivals from Dottie 1 , 2 , 3.

Happy Monday and thank you for stopping by! 🙂

For Part 3 of “Loving Leatherette Leggings,” I paired the leggings with more of a dressy top from Forever 21. As I’ve said in the last 2 posts, you can wear these leggings with pretty much anything. The top is a light blush color, so these leggings add the perfect amount of edge to the outfit. I love adding a little fringe to any outfit, so these shoes were perfect.

I added my go-to necklace, black hat, and black leather jacket. This outfit is perfect for a night on the town with your girls, or a date night with your man. The Kendra Scott necklace I’m wearing was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! If you’re like me, and shop on a budget, spending $90 on one necklace may not sound ideal to you. However, if you pick a color that matches everything, you will find that your money has been well spent! I literally wear this necklace with almost everything.

Happy Friday loves! Thanks for reading! 🙂
