I hope you are all having a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! 🙂 This is definitely one of my favorite holidays. There is no better combination than spending the day with family and friends, along with some home-cooked food! Throughout the year, things get so busy sometimes that it feels like we don’t get enough quality time with family, so having a long weekend off of work to spend time in our hometown, Houston, Texas, is a real treat! Tyler and I grew up about 30 minutes away from each other, so finding time for both our families and friends is pretty easy. I love revisiting all of my favorite restaurants, parks, and schools I used to go to. Tyler and I always have the best time showing each other the places we grew up and sharing old stories. The Texas Renaissance Festival is currently going on in the Houston area and we plan on going if the weather holds up! 🙂

I ordered the tunic off of eBay to save some money. It’s very high-quality and ended up fitting perfectly! I tend to eat way more than I should on Thanksgiving, so I chose to wear a loose fitting shirt to hide my food baby lol! The scarf is from eBay as well, and again the quality is amazing! It ends up costing you less than $10, including shipping; what a steal! Pictured above is a couple of different ways that you can wear these two items! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for stopping by! 🙂

Tunics are probably my favorite fall top. This one is from Express and is incredibly soft and comfy. It also has long sleeves, which I love for the winter to cover my hands. This color is sold out, but they still have 3 other colors. This top is a little sheer, but in a regular setting you can’t see through it. When we took these pictures with my dslr camera, it showed everything lol! So if you are planning to wear this top to a place where professional pictures will be taken, I highly suggest wearing a tank top underneath.

These leather leggings are from Dottie Couture and can dress up any outfit, while being super comfy. These are one of those must have items for your wardrobe; they go with everything! Black booties are another must have. The ones I’m wearing were purchased last year from Dottie, but I have linked some similar ones above. Black booties are always my go-to shoe. Comfort and cuteness; I love it! Dottie has some seriously cute new arrivals today! Here are a few of my favorites; 1 2 , 3 , 4 5.

This post is the start of a new blog series called, “Loving Leatherette Leggings.” This week I will be showing you several different ways you can wear your leatherette leggings! Stay tuned loves 🙂

Yesterday we decided to go on a little family picnic with some chicken noodle soup. My mom has been making this soup for as long as I can remember and it is absolutely amazing! Now that the sun sets so early, we barely made it to the park before dark after I got off of work. The pups had a blast chasing each other, while we ate our soup, and enjoyed each others’ company. Nala tries SO hard to keep up with Layla and sometimes does a couple front rolls when she looses her footing (it’s hard not to laugh lol). Nights like these ones are definitely my favorite. It is almost impossible for us to get a picture with all 4 of us looking and being still, but we managed to get some okay shots. The vest I’m wearing is from the same site I linked, however they are currently sold out of it in brown. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the chicken soup recipe below! Happy Chicken Soup for the Soul Day! 🙂

WHAT YOU NEED:

4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts

3 Whole raw carrots chopped (optional)

12 oz Ribbon egg noodles

4 Cups chicken broth

1 can Cream of celery soup

1/2 Tsp Cayenne pepper / salt / pepper

STEP 1: Boil chicken breasts and carrots in big pot of water (about 20 mins).

STEP 2: Cut boiled chicken into pieces, set aside (leave carrots in pot).

STEP 3: Add 4 cups chicken broth to the water that the chicken was boiled in; cook noodles in that water.

STEP 4: Once noodles are cooked, mix in can of cream of celery soup.

STEP 5: Add cut up chicken, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to taste.

ENJOY! 🙂

We had a camping trip planned for this past weekend, but unfortunately the weather forced us to cancel our plans. I was so excited to spend a weekend outdoors and to get some mountain biking in. I got my first migraine Saturday morning and it was absolutely one of the worst pains I’ve ever had! Thank goodness Tyler was home to take care of me until it passed. He really is amazing! 🙂

Sunday turned out to be a gorgeous day, so we decided to have a day date on the River Walk. We got a table right along the river; it was perfect! We even made a little duck friend, who was very persistent on having some of our lunch. The weather finally got below 70 degrees, so I wore my favorite leatherette leggings and a distressed tunic. It was so amazing to finally be able to wear long sleeves and pants and not get hot by mid-day. Fall has finally arrived in San Antonio and I am THRILLED! 🙂 This entire outfit is from Dottie Couture because, duh, they’re my favorite. This tunic has sold out once already, so make sure you snag it this time around. I normally wear a size small, but I got a medium to make it would fit more like a dress so I could wear it with or without leggings. The leatherette leggings are amazing quality and seriously look good with everything.

I hope y’all had a fantastic weekend. Thanks for reading! 🙂
