Happy Friday everyone! I hope your week has been amazing. Part 2 is going to be a combination of the 2 days that we went snowboarding. On our second day in Pagosa Springs we went snowboarding at Wolf Creek Ski Area. It is most known for having the most snowfall in Colorado! Luckily for us, my brother and sister-in-law let us borrow their snowboards, which saved us a good bit of money. The first day it was snowing pretty good the entire time we were there and unfortunately we forgot one of our pairs of googles, so Tyler’s eyelashes were pretty frozen the entire time. Our car was crazy covered in snow when we got back to it! I had only snowboarded one other time than this exactly one year ago, so I was pretty nervous. Getting off the lift is always the scariest part for me, but by the second half of the second day I was doing it like a pro (which for me is if I don’t fall lol).

This was our first time at Wolf Creek and we absolutely loved it! All of the staff was so friendly and the slopes were a blast. I definitely should have hit the gym before we left because snowboarding is such a work out! Especially when you fall as much as I do, haha. The second day was seriously stunning! The sun was out, it wasn’t snowing, and we had both pairs of goggles. It was perfect! The sky on the way home was so beautiful. I really love how amazing the Colorado Sky looks at night. So different from at home in Texas! We are in the process of putting together a video from the trip that I can’t wait to share with y’all. 🙂

Part 3 will include a list of essentials and tips for the snow, so be sure to check back! Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

Happy Hump Day loves! I decided to break our Colorado trip into parts because we took too many pictures for one post. Our first day in Pagosa Springs was pure magic! We used Airbnb for the first time and absolutely loved it! It is a website where you rent unique places to stay at from local hosts or you can use it to rent out your place to make some extra money. We were a little nervous at first but our host had over 300 fantastic reviews so we thought, why not? We only saw pictures of the house in the summer time, so when we pulled up our minds were blown by how beautiful it looked when covered in snow (& ginormous icicles)! It was a true winter wonderland and us Texans could not have been more excited to spend the week in the freezing cold snow.

We stopped at a cute sandwich shop in town called The Peak Deli for breakfast. I got the ‘killer burrito’ and it was AMAZING and really filling. The customer service and the quality in small towns beyond amazes me (one of the reasons we chose Pagosa Springs). All of downtown Pagosa Springs is a real treat! After we ate, we took a stroll along the Hot Springs, WOW they were seriously so beautiful! Every picture I took I felt that it didn’t do the real life view justice. Tyler forgot his sunglasses so that is the reason for the goggles haha. He’s also not very into me taking pictures of him. So if you’re wondering why he’s squatting in the picture above, that is Tyler’s I don’t want to take this picture pose haha.

As we walked down the path along the river, we came across River Pointe Coffee House and popped inside for a coffee. This place was SO cute, comfy, and cozy and has an awesome deck with a view of the river and hot springs. They also have checkers and chess games that we saw people playing. We explored all the local shops within walking distance and they were amazingly unique. All of the shop owners are so friendly and make great conversation. You can truly tell the difference between locally owned shops and big chain corporations. The sunset that evening was stunning and the sky that night looked crazy cool! So of course, I had to snap a couple of shots on the way home. The entire downtown area was covered in Christmas lights, wreaths, and Christmas trees. Truly the CUTEST little town I have ever seen.

Most of my outfit was purchased off of Ebay to save some money. Every item came in pristine condition and was shipped fast! The blanket scarf is on sale right now for less than $7 and is seriously the warmest thing you will wear around your neck. If you’re from the South, like me, and don’t want to spend a fortune on snow boots, nor really know what kind you need, look no further! The ones I’m wearing from Dottie are less than $50 and were seriously my crutch the entire trip!!! They are made out of rubber which is PERFECT for the snow any other material will just get wet and make you cold. The quality was so amazing that I could walk through snow that was above my knees and the faux fur trim is really warm and soft. I cannot stress anymore that if you are going to be in the snow you NEED these boots!!

More from our trip coming soon! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

Jumpsuits are a great statement piece to add to your wardrobe and are a perfect outfit choice for a New Year’s party! This jumpsuit from Dottie Couture is extremely comfy and seriously so cute! The color really makes it pop and I absolutely love the detail on the front. The material is a little stretchy which makes it easy to move around (dance) in and it is bra friendly! I received the earrings a couple of years ago as a gift, but I linked all the current Kendra Scott earrings for sale. Linked below are a few more ready-to-shop jumpsuits for you to make a statement this New Year’s!

Happy Monday loves! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family. We spent the first part of our day in San Antonio with my family and the second part in Houston with Tyler’s family. Our dogs seriously love it when we come to Houston mainly due to the fact that they can run around freely in Tyler’s spacious childhood home. We are getting packed and organized for our trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado tonight. Last year was our first trip to Colorado (my first time ever seeing snow) and we loved it so much that we decided to make it an annual occurrence. This year will be a little bit different (better) because we have Layla now!

This vest is a MUST for your winter wardrobe. The quality is astounding and adds a surprising amount of warmth to your outfit. It’s a little on the pricey side, but is totally worth every penny. The faux fur it is lined with is seriously SO soft and the leather on the outside is high quality. Below are a few of my favorite new arrivals this week from Dottie Couture.
